The project is a proposal for a Romanian pavilion for the Dubai 2020 Expo. The idea begins inside the International Workshop with prof. Daniel Comsa from Bucarest University and Sapienza phd departement in architecture, The space is configured as an exhibition space, organized in an open space consisting of smaller rooms delineated by partitions and semi-curvilinear roofs. The development of the concept starts from the idea of a tent in the desert and exploits the conformation of the interior and exterior to ensure optimal ventilation and shading. It is oriented towards a positive exploitation of the scarce resources available such as palm trees and pools of water but also of traditional construction techniques with low environmental impact.
